TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Lessons will only be given subject to a valid provisional licence being produced and the pupil has satisfactory eyesight. 2. If for any reason, the instructor considers the pupil to be unfit to drive the lesson will not proceed but will still be charged for in full. 3. Lessons must be paid for in full at the start of each lesson, unless pre block booked. 4. Lessons will last for a minimum of one hour unless alternative arrangements have been made. 5. Lesson times will be arranged for times that are mutually acceptable to both pupils and the instructor. 6. Forty eight hours notice is required for lesson cancellations by the pupil otherwise the full fee for the cancelled lesson will be payable by the pupil. 7. All lesson cancellations must be made by telephone and not by text message to make sure the message is received to the driving school directly. 8. Lessons cancelled by the instructor will not be charged for and will be rearranged for times that are mutually acceptable to both pupil and instructor. 9. If block booked lessons are to be suspended for any reason, they must re commence within 4 weeks of last taken driving lesson. All remaining funds for block booked lessons will be forfeited and lost after this time has elapsed. 10. The current fee for a one hour lesson can be found at www.kevinkaydrivingschool.com or the driving school can be contacted directly on the above telephone number for a current price list. 11. Student rate is for 17yr & 18yr old only, and is for lessons taken between 9am-3pm Mon - Fri and in school term time only. 12. Providing the instructor is satisfied with the pupils’ level of competence the driving school car will be made available for the pupil to take the driving test. Use of the car for the test will be equivalent to a one hour lesson and charged at the hourly rate. A further full one hourly rate will be charged after the driving test if the pupil wishes to be taken home. 13. The driving school cannot be held responsible for any sudden breakdown of the driving school vehicle whereby preventing the vehicle from being used for the booked test. 14. Certain personal details provided by pupils will be securely stored on a paper filing system. Such details are used by Kevin Kay Driving School solely for the purpose of providing driving instruction, and subject to the provisions of the data protection act 1998, will not be disclosed to third parties. 15. The driving school cannot accept any responsibility for pupils’ private property. 16. All mobile phones must be switched off during lessons. 17. Pupils will be notified well in advance of any revision to these terms and conditions.
